Race Info

Join fellow runners on the 16th annual Cle Elum Ridge 50K (actual gps measured distance 30.9 mi) trail race that provides beautiful scenery along with challenging terrain with approximately 7000 feet of elevation gain or the 2nd annual 25k (actual gps measured distance 17.0 mi) with approximately 3900 ft of gain.

Limited Entry: Thsi race is limited to 300 runners between the 25k and 50k, that's a total of 150 runners per distance.  We recommend you sign up ahead of time to guarantee that you get in the race.  This race has sold out before September the past 2 years!

When: Saturday, September 15, 2012

6:00am Check-in for both races begins
7:00am 50k Early Start
8:00am 50k Regular Start
9:00am 25k Regular Start (there is no early start for 25k)

Where: Wenatchee National Forest, south of Cle Elum, WA. The Start/Finish area is at the Taneum Junction Campground and the courses use the following trails: the South Cle Elum Ridge(#1326) and the North Fork Taneum Creek (#1377). Entry Fees: 50k: $60 or $70 after June 1st; 25k $50 or $60 after June 1st. Register will be with Databar.

T-Shirt: A short-sleeved Patagonia Capilene 1 t-shirt, is available for an additional $30 in men and women sizes. The to get a t-shirt you must be registered by midnight on Sept 1st 2011.

Cutoff Time: 5:00 pm (9 hours or 10 hours for early starters).

50k Aid Station Cutoffs:
Aid Station B, mile 15.2: 12:30pm, 5.5 hours for early start, 4.5 hrs for regular start
Aid Station C, mile 23.5: 2:45pm, 7.75 hr for early start, 6.75 hrs for regular start

25k Aid Station Cutoffs:
Aid Station A, mile 5.5: no cut off
Aid Station C, mile 9.6: 2:45pm, same as 50k distance

Awards: For the 25k and 50k we provide awards to first place finishers for men and women in each age group. You must be present to receive your award.  Age categories are as follows:
0-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

Post Race Food: Once again we'll have a yummy post race meal at no extra cost to you or your family

Refund Policy: No refunds or transfers, sorry it is just too much work.
  
Volunteer/Get in for Free: You can bring a friend or family member to volunteer on race day to receive free entry in the race!  You must contact us ahead of time to qualify for free entry.  Volunteering for a Rainshadow Running race can get you free entry in this race as well.  Email us for more information at runcandicerun@gmail.com
